To make fine custom work is like playing a musical instrument, this is an art and a natural gift that not many jewelers have.
Our custom work is truly hand made by forging the gold or platinum with a hammer, cutting, filing and doing piece by piece until the work is finished and not by casting a wax.
Hand made forging is the finest work in jewelry and an almost lost art of the old European jewelry school of fine jewelry work.
Only the finest jewels in the world are done this way.
All the images in this pages are of the hand made custom work done by Juan Manuel, most of this pictures can't show the real beauty of the work but you will have an idea of his capabilities and level of craftsmanship in the fine art of jewelry work.
We make custom work with Van Graff simulated diamonds and also with natural diamonds at your request.
We have done a lot of Van Graff replicas to artists that don't want to risk their original jewels in movies or TV shows.
We use only certified pure gold, platinum, palladium and silver to make our own alloys, all the platinum work is done with platinum 980 and our white gold is alloyed with palladium instead of nickel to make a totally hypo allergenic white gold that is as white as the platinum at a lower cost.
If you have a "dream" ring that you want custom made, send us your idea.
You will be surprised by the price of our custom hand made work and by the superb quality of the labor.
Most of the custom work takes from 30 to 45 days to be finished, please take this in mind if you want it for a special event with a dead end date.
These are a series of pictures to show you some steps of the process of a hand forged ring.
The quality and the cleanness of the work can't be compared to a cast wax work.

The ring starts with a bar of metal that is bent over a mandrel

The metal is forged with a hammer, cut, filed and sanded until you have the rough shape of the ring.
The inside upper part of the shank will be scrolled, so a preview of the design is drawn on the metal to check the proportions.
Then a compass is used to mark the scroll lines in a perfect pattern.

The plate is scrolled and soldered in place and the yellow gold scrolls are soldered into the galleries of the ring, then the holes for the stones are drilled one by one checking with a compass that all the spaces are equidistant to each other.

The finished ring after setting the stones, engraved the milgrain at the edges and final polish, another wonderful ring!
